Tremendous woodcut design from a low print run for the Academy Cinema London. Bergman's most famous masterpiece and a quintessential arthouse classic. The scene of the knight challenging Death to a game of chess has now become a familiar image, and has been parodied many times, perhaps most amusingly in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.
