Much under-appreciated poster design, with Price's face composed of erotic torture scenes, reminiscent of the Italian painter Arcimboldo. One of Corman's best adaptations of an Edgar Allan Poe story. Cinematography by Nicolas Roeg - later director of such classics as Performance and Don't Look Now.
